The Assistant Team Leader provides leadership for the successful operation of the entire front-end of the store. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and related reports to meet financial and operational goals.
- Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors to provide exceptional associate and customer service; ensure company standards are met in all interactions.
- Ensure store standards and company programs meet operational expectations.
- Maintain the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the store.
- Assign daily tasks to associates and monitor productivity.
- Perform opening and closing functions when needed.
- Assist with staffing processes including hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years’ retail management experience with a mid to large retailer.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods and work safely.
