The Assistant Team Leader oversees the successful operation of the front-end of the store. Responsibilities include team leadership, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and report completion to meet financial and operational goals.
    • Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors to provide exceptional service and uphold company standards.
    • Maintain store standards and operational expectations.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of the store’s front-end, entrance, and exterior.
    • Assign daily tasks to associates and monitor productivity.
    • Perform opening and closing functions as needed.
    • Assist in hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to meet staffing needs.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or equivalent; Business Management degree preferred.
    • 1-2 years’ retail management experience with a mid to large retailer.
    • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
    • Stand for extended periods and work safely.
