ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Assistant Store Manager is crucial to our success, supporting the Management Team in operations management and team leadership. You will drive daily store performance, inspire employees, and ensure excellent customer service. By managing inventory, visual merchandising, and sales strategies, you'll contribute to the store’s profitability and success.

COMPENSATION RATE:

STARTING RATE: $20.30

HOURLY RANGE: $20.30 - $21.54

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and motivate staff to achieve sales goals, deliver outstanding customer service, and foster a positive environment.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers' standards for style and innovation.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor for a seamless shopping experience.
  • Operations Management: Oversee store systems, including scheduling and opening/closing procedures; support peak operations, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Sales Management: Implement strategies to drive revenue, set expectations, and surpass sales targets.
  • Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns proactively.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and operations
  • Experience in sales management with a track record of results
  • Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Confidentiality and a sense of urgency

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality preferred
  • Sales skills to meet revenue targets
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
