The Assistant Team Leader (ATL) oversees the front-end operation of the store, leading a passionate sales team to ensure excellent customer service. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll, expenses, banking, shrink reduction, and related reports to meet financial and operational goals.
- Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors in providing exceptional service and ensuring company standards are met in every interaction.
- Maintain store standards and ensure operational expectations are met.
- Ensure the front-end, entrance, and exterior are properly maintained.
- Assign daily tasks to associates to maximize productivity.
- Perform opening and closing functions as needed.
- Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to meet staffing needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years’ retail management experience with a mid to large retailer.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods and work safely.
