Job summary

E&H Ace Hardware is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of one of our locally owned retail stores. This leadership role focuses on customer-first service, coaching team members, driving sales, and ensuring smooth day-to-day execution on the sales floor.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ years of retail leadership experience. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills and be able to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.).
• Ability to lead others while also working independently.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train team members using the company’s customer-first culture.
• Lead by example with customer-focused service.
• Supervise daily store operations including opening/closing and manager-on-duty shifts.
• Support merchandising and ensure accurate signage and displays.
• Assist customers with purchases, returns, and online orders.
• Manage inventory through cycle counts and stock monitoring.
• Ensure safe and clean store environment and prevent theft/accidents.
