Job summary

United Pacific is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Diego to support daily store operations and ensure a safe, customer-focused environment. You will cover Store Manager duties in their absence and assist customers with purchases while building strong customer connections.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in a supervisory role in retail, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work weekends and irregular shifts. Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead at a retail store.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Indoors for most work, with some outdoor periods.
• Able to stand or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 20 pounds up to 30 minutes.
• Occasionally climb a ladder to store/retrieve materials.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all store operations and ensure a safe, customer-focused environment.
• Fill in for the Store Manager when they are not present.
• Assist customers in purchasing products and build customer connections.
• Maintain a positive attitude with all customers and staff.
