Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Savannah location. You will help with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and opening/closing procedures.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced retail environment. You will train Store Associates, ensure policy compliance, and maintain a clean, welcoming store for customers.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience in a store or supermarket is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing, and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
