Job summary

H&S Energy Group seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, scheduling, and customer service at our Sunriver location.

You will assist with POS and back-office systems, resolve customer concerns, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with labor laws. The role requires the ability to multitask and communicate effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet demands, with follow through.
• Ability to identify issues and make corrections effectively.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform select duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence, e.g., submitting daily paperwork, approved orders, maintenance tickets, scheduling issues, price changes, customer concerns.
• Demonstrate competent knowledge of Point of Sale and back office systems.
• Resolve customer issues in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assign and inspect shift duties and responsibilities.
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local labor laws as they apply to retail operations.
• Assist with promoting a strong safety culture by helping ensure safety rules are followed.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Interact professionally with all team members.
• Not authorized to hire, fire, or promote employees but may be asked to make recommendations on performance or disciplinary issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
