Job summary

Family Dollar in Honor, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

Responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and loss prevention, and training Store Associates. You will maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store while ensuring policies are followed and store assets are protected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred and ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience managing a retail team in grocery/drug store settings is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform stocking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and floor.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and losses.
• Maintain orderly, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash; follow safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable including bathrooms and floors.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
