Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager in Pearl, Mississippi (Hwy 80 East). The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service excellence, merchandising, and staff supervision.

The candidate should be knowledgeable across product areas and uphold company policies. The position is non-exempt, hourly, and focused on driving store profitability and service during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Maintain inventory awareness, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure exceptional customer service per manuals and policies.
