Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Mauston, WI to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise flow, and payroll-related duties while promoting a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged items; keep records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
