Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Lakeland is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations, merchandising, and customer service. This non-exempt, hourly role reports to the Store Manager and helps manage staff, scheduling, and store assets.

The ideal candidate has retail footwear/apparel experience, 1–3 years in customer service, and strong communication skills to drive sales and excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

• Retail experience in footwear/apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.

• Capable of supervising and guiding staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Develop action plans for selling, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Line management in absence of Store Manager.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate store personnel.
• Ensure customer service standards and profitability.
