Job summary

The Assistant Manager will assist in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling; and will supervise staff in the Store Manager's absence while ensuring excellent service and merchandise promotion.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and achieve store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Act as store lead in Manager's absence and supervise staff accordingly.
• Support in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and merchandise presentation.
