Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Carlsbad, NM is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk extensively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling while maintaining loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and environment is professional.
• Other duties as assigned.
