Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager at our Ada, Oklahoma location to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help train and supervise store associates, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom while adhering to company policies and safety guidelines. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and a customer-first mindset in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional displays and ensure store assets are secure.
