Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Greenville, SC to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to shelves.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and loss prevention. The role requires strong communication, teamwork and a proactive, customer-focused approach to maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; train and supervise associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
