Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Beaumont, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will oversee merchandising, staffing, and store performance while maintaining policies and standards.

The role requires experience in retail, strong communication, and the ability to lead in the Store Manager's absence. This position reports to the Store Manager in the Operations department.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear
• Consults with Store Manager in establishing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provides knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Keeps the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Performs general administrative duties as needed and is trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
