Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the sales floor when the Store Manager is away, and to support merchandising, marketing, and daily store operations. You will assist customers with high-level service while driving sales.

Requires 4 years of retail management experience, a high school diploma, strong communication and customer service skills, and basic math for orders and cash handling. Full-time year-round schedule with potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of retail management/supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills sufficient to manage cash and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills store management duties in Store Manager’s absence.
• Merchandising the sales floor and executing floor moves.
• Coach and improve performance of team members; meet sales goals.
• Collaborate on store promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Direct daily work of sales associates and maintain stock/cleanliness.
• Train team on chemical, equipment, and operational knowledge.
• Handle opening/closing procedures, cash handling, deposits.
• Assist customers in-store and by phone with purchases and services.
• Ensure safety instructions for chemicals are followed.
