Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Sidney, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service, merchandising, restocking and scheduling. You will act as the store's interim leader in the Manager's absence and help uphold company standards.

You will assist in recruiting, training and evaluating staff, supervise assets and inventory, and ensure profitability through vigilance on expenses and sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
