Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead store operations, donations processing, and sales. You will support the Store Manager with interviewing, scheduling, staff supervision, and training to ensure excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous supervisory and training experience in customer service with retail or food service desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate a cash register/POS system.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing applicants, scheduling employees, and assessing performance; make recommendations for disciplinary action.
• Direct, supervise, and train staff in daily duties including donations, processing, and sales; operate POS system accurately.
• Perform opening/closing procedures, banking, daily reconciliation, and nightly deposits; complete reports and store audits.
