Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Missouri City, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide excellent customer service

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and information requests related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and handling payroll and scheduling
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and secure all assets including cash
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines are followed by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain bathroom cleanliness and general store upkeep
• Other duties as assigned
