Job summary

Dollar Tree in McKeesport, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help run opening and closing procedures.

You’ll implement corporate directives, maintain displays, assist in ordering and handling damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean and stocked, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal
• Other duties as assigned
