Job summary

Massanutten Resort seeks a Retail Operation Assistant Manager to lead staffing, interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training across its retail locations. The role supports product mix, pricing and inventory decisions and delivers excellent guest service.

Analyzing sales trends helps optimize staffing levels, merchandise mix, and prices. The ROAM collaborates with Operations and Merchandising to place products effectively and maintain POS systems and store standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in hospitality or retail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Previous guest service experience.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS knowledge.
• ServeSafe or similar food management certification within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver license and approved driving record.
• Must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, and terminate staff members, including store supervisors and assistants.
• Prepare weekly schedules for all retail locations and levels of employees.
• Work with Operations Manager & Merchandising Manager to optimize product placement and pricing across locations.
• Manage and maintain POS system software.
• Perform duties from Retail Associate to Store Supervisor, including Inventory Control.
• Develop and implement training programs for Retail staff.

Compensation

• Salary: $45,760 ($22.00/Hour)

Core Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, and terminate staff members, including store supervisors and assistants
• Responsible for preparing weekly schedule for all retail locations, including all levels of employees
• Work in conjunction with Operations Manager & Merchandising Manager to ensure optimal product placement within each location, and within the department as a whole, accomplished by meeting with vendors, and attending regional and national tradeshows
• Manage and maintain POS system software
• Be able to perform all tasks required from Retail Associate to Store Supervisor positions, including Inventory Control and Consumable Products Specialist
• Develop and implement training programs for Retail staff
• Other duties as assigned by management
