Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in supervising all team members and business operations, including production, retail processes, pick-up and delivery, shipping, and quality control. Manages the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager performs all functions normally performed by team members.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide friendly, polite, and expert service to customers.
  • Evaluate team members' efficiency and productivity in creating positive customer experiences.
  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Create a customer-focused environment across all store areas and maintain a clean, professional environment.
  • Manage customer flow to enhance service and ensure quick, quality delivery.
  • Train and develop team members, monitor goals, and provide feedback.
  • Participate in hiring processes, including interviewing and complying with company policies.
  • Coach and counsel team members to ensure policy adherence and performance standards.
  • Coordinate with the Store Lead Consultant and production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Oversee shipping services and activities.
  • Communicate store goals, performance metrics, customer issues, and initiatives to the team.
  • Enforce FedEx Office policies and maintain control environments.
  • Assist in payroll review and daily POS close-out.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, inventory management, and supplies ordering.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Stand during entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Bend and twist at waist and knees regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Work cooperatively and follow instructions.
  • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention and concentration over extended periods.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance and support business hours.
