Job summary

Five Below is hiring for a Loss Prevention/Customer Service role. The associate will help reduce shrink, enforce store policies, and maintain security at the employee entrance while assisting customers with a friendly, professional presence.

Requirements include 1–2 years in retail loss prevention, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 20 lbs. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in retail loss prevention is preferred (1–2 years).
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain the employee entrance when applicable.
• Track packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store security checks and recommend loss prevention measures.
• Perform store floor movements and safety-related tasks (Figure 8s).
• Provide a courteous and professional visual presence at entrances/exits.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
