Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate in Lansdowne, MD to support store safety and shrink reduction. You will work with the General Manager and team to uphold policies, perform security checks, monitor packages at the employee entrance, and respond to hazards while maintaining a welcoming customer experience.

This hourly role requires 1–2 years of loss prevention or retail security, strong communication skills, and the ability to stand 8 hours and lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work nights and weekends to meet retail business needs.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction/investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain the employee entrance, where applicable.
• Keep track of all packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations to prevent loss.
• Perform figure 8's in store and stay mobile throughout the store.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit and interact with customers.
• Conduct Safety Inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
