Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Loss Prevention team member in South Dakota to help protect assets, greet customers, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

This hourly position starts at $16.50 and requires standing on the sales floor for up to 8 hours, ability to lift 20 lbs, and availability nights/weekends.

You will work with the General Manager to enforce policies and perform store checks, with opportunities to grow within a fast-paced, energetic culture.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Must communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Able to work nights and weekends to retail business needs.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours on the sales floor.
• Lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Understand Five Below policies and procedures.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction/Investigation.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure policies are followed.
• Maintain the employee entrance area when applicable.
• Track packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and suggest loss-prevention measures.
• Move around store performing figure 8’s and stay active throughout shift.
