Job summary

Five Below is hiring a Loss Prevention Associate to support shrink reduction and safety initiatives. You will work with store leadership to enforce policies, monitor entrances, and conduct security checks while maintaining a helpful customer experience.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills across levels of staff and management.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours on the sales floor.
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work independently.
• General product knowledge in key departments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain the employee entrance area where applicable.
• Track packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store security checks and propose loss prevention measures.
• Perform figure-8s in store and move throughout the store.
• Provide a visible, courteous presence at entrances/exits.
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards to management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
