Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Asset Protection professional to support store safety and prevent loss at our Michigan locations. You will monitor for theft, inspect premises, review reports, and assist in investigations as needed.

Responsibilities include camera testing, hazard reporting, and collaboration with store leadership to uphold safety and security standards. The role requires basic security experience and a proactive, detail-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect building exterior and parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conduct backroom and sales floor walking inspections.
• Review cashier exception reports.
• Conduct internal theft surveillance.
• Document incidents thoroughly for potential litigation.
• Test and inspect camera equipment for proper operation.
• Report safety hazards to Store Leadership.
• Participate in apprehension of violators and assist in prosecutions.
• Testify in court as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain 200% safety accountability.
• Perform other duties as required.
