Job summary

Meijer in Livonia, MI is seeking a Security/Asset Protection team member to help maintain a safe environment for customers, team members and vendors. The role focuses on proactive prevention and rapid response to incidents with strong documentation practices.

You will conduct exterior and interior inspections, monitor surveillance, review reports, and assist in apprehensions and court proceedings as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months security experience or 1 year general work experience.
• Ability to complete thorough documentation and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior and parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance and follows up on activity.
• Participates in apprehension of violators and assists in prosecution.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment for operation.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership.
• Maintains thorough documentation and incident reports.
