Job summary

The Hotel Hershey is seeking a dedicated Retail Leader to join our luxury resort team in Hershey, PA. You will oversee daily storefront operations, coach a team, analyze weekly sales, and ensure optimal product placement while maintaining high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, and development, inventory control, and participating in the retail management team. This role offers full-time employment with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in retail or hospitality environments.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a team setting.
• Industry knowledge in retail and guest service operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of retail outlets at The Hotel Hershey and coach team members.
• Analyze weekly sales, plan floor moves, and ensure correct product placement.
• Maintain inventory per SOPs, including requisitioning and cycle counts.
• Hire, schedule, train, coach, and counsel staff in the retail outlets.
• Address guest concerns and resolve complaints to uphold service standards.
• Participate in retail management meetings and staff events.

The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner.

Job Duties

• Oversee and assist with the daily operations of the retail outlets within The Hotel Hershey by directly working alongside a group of team members. Provide coaching and leadership to make sure customers are being assisted, the store is stocked, visual merchandising displays are kept, and employees are engaged.*
• Analyze sales figures weekly and execute floor moves as needed to ensure the right product is in the right place at the appropriate time.*
• Maintain inventory standards by adhering to and ensuring team adheres to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, which include but are not limited to, requisitioning, transferring, cycle counting, and selling of merchandise.*
• Hire, schedule, train, coach, and counsel team members working within the retail outlet(s).*
• Address customer concerns and provide customer recovery by responding promptly to resolve and follow up on any complaints. Ensure resolutions effectively meet guest needs and service expectations while upholding property standards.
• Participate as an active member of the retail management team by holding and participating in staff meetings, sitting on committees, and assisting with employee events.*
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Associate’s degree
• Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 5 years
• Industry Experience - Retail

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
