Job summary

MCG Architecture seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead the Walmart account and other national retail programs from its Maitland, Florida office. The role requires producing and coordinating complete construction documents, mentoring teams, and upholding standards across multiple projects.

The position emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, collaboration with client representatives, and ensuring documentation quality for fast-paced retail rollouts.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong experience producing and coordinating architectural construction documents.
• Experience with retail, commercial, grocery, or multi-site rollout projects.
• Advanced understanding of building systems, materials and detailing.
• Ability to lead and mentor project teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical leader for Walmart account and other retail clients.
• Develop client design criteria, prototypes, specifications and construction requirements.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other consultants.
• Lead the technical development of construction documents from schematic through permit and construction.
• Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and code compliance.
• Mentor production staff and coordinate workloads across projects.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to client standards across multiple projects.
