After years building the best POS platform for restaurateurs, Toast is expanding into other food and beverage concepts such as convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role requires a founder’s mindset as we grow Toast’s presence in this new vertical with a new offering: the Toast Retail platform.

As a Territory Account Executive, you will be part of a founding team transforming how convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops operate. Using a consultative approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new accounts by understanding their unique needs and developing customized solutions to help their businesses thrive. We seek your passion, sales expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit to build the Toast brand in your assigned territory.

Responsibilities
  • Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops.
  • Generate lists of prospective clients and manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing.
  • Conduct demos and develop solutions tailored to prospect needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery meets expectations.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage all sales activities.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and position Toast effectively in the market.
Requirements
  • Entrepreneurial and feedback-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills; ability to sell and negotiate at all decision levels.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated, creative, flexible, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Reside in or near the target market.
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more.

The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range is $129,000—$206,000 USD, including base salary, commission, and potential equity or benefits. Starting salary depends on skills, experience, and location.
