Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners represents a leading AmLaw firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group in New York. The role focuses on complex restructurings, distressed financings, and cross-border transactions.

Requirements include a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar in the applicable jurisdiction, 3–7 years in restructuring/bankruptcy, and strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3–7 years of substantive experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance transactions
• Familiarity with Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and liability management transactions
• Experience representing creditors, debtors, sponsors, or financial institutions in distressed scenarios
• Large law firm experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, in- and out-of-court
• Advise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financings
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related documents
• Support liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys
