Job summary

DLA Piper LLP (US) is seeking a Senior Analyst - Restructuring in the United States (New York or Chicago) on a hybrid basis. The role supports the Restructuring Practice by analyzing distressed debt, high yield credit, and restructuring opportunities, and by developing data-driven insights for leadership.

The candidate will build models, monitor markets, and collaborate with partners and the business development team to drive strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business administration, or quantitative fields.
• MBA preferred.
• 6 years of experience in finance, restructuring or distressed debt analysis desired.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, analyze, monitor, and report on market opportunities for the Restructuring Practice Group.
• Develop client pursuit opportunities and targeting lists.
• Conduct macro- and micro-economic research to inform targeting efforts and strategy.
• Build and maintain tracking tools and models using internal and external data.
• Design tailored research for restructuring partners and compile quantitative and qualitative data.
• Develop financial and statistical models to identify potential opportunities for clients and the Firm.
• Monitor news cycles, SEC filings, and data sources to identify distress signals and opportunities.
