DLA Piper seeks a Sr Analyst - Restructuring to support the firm’s strategic growth by applying distressed debt analysis, high-yield credit, and restructuring expertise across workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcies for clients from middle market to global corporates.

You will work directly with Restructuring Partners to identify market opportunities, research macro and micro developments, and build tracking tools and models to support targeting and pursuit efforts while collaborating with

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or quantitative fields.
MBA is preferred but not required.
6 years of analytical experience in finance, restructuring or distressed debt analysis are desirable.

Responsibilities

Identify, research, analyze, monitor, and report market opportunities for the Restructuring Practice Group.
Develop client pursuit opportunities and targeting lists.
Research macro- and micro-economic developments in distressed industries to inform targeting.
Develop and maintain tracking tools and models using internal/external data to support targeting and pursuit.
Design tailored research/analysis for restructuring partners; select appropriate data collection methodologies.
Build financial and statistical models; interpret insights to identify opportunities for clients and the Firm.
Monitor news cycles, SEC filings, and other sources to flag distressed indicators for timely action.
Collaborate with business development to understand partners, clients, prospects, competitors and market factors.
Identify improvements to data retrieval, accuracy and delivery.
Lead and coordinate bi-weekly meetings with restructuring leadership to review targets.
