Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County's ReStore in Santa Rosa Beach is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to help customers find quality donated goods and support affordable housing in our community.

You'll work in a fast-paced retail environment, assist on the sales floor, process transactions with POS, and help with donation intake while sharing Habitat's mission.

If you enjoy people, can lift up to 50 lbs, and want a role with real community impact, this position is for you.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the sales floor with product selection, pricing inquiries, and checkout
• Receive, sort, and organize donated merchandise including furniture, appliances, and building materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing store environment
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Support donation intake by greeting donors and unloading contributions
• Stock and merchandise shelves, displays, and floor sets to maximize sales
• Educate customers about Habitat for Humanity's mission and ReStore's community impact

Requirements:

• Previous retail, customer service, or resale/thrift store experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor with strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible part-time schedule including weekends
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; POS experience a plus
• Passion for community service and alignment with Habitat for Humanity's mission
