Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is seeking a part-time ReStore Sales Associate to help receive donations, price and stock merchandise, assist unloading donation trucks, provide friendly customer service, operate the sales floor and cashier duties.

The role emphasizes teamwork with volunteers, maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and following Habitat policies. The position requires physical ability for heavy lifting and flexibility for Saturdays.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The ReStore Sales Associate is responsible for receiving donated merchandise, pricing, stocking, assisting with unloading donation truck, providing positive customer service, working the sales floor and cashiering and other duties as assigned by management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Offers and provides customer assistance at all times.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards by cleaning and dusting area as needed.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Support and collaborate with volunteers.
• Helps to Maintain and clean a well-organized store and facilitate a safe and secure working and shopping environment
• Receive donations and place into inventory using computer system
• Cross train as required by Management
• Load and unload merchandise - donations, Deconstruction, business, customers. Physical ability tests will be measured. The physical ability to perform a particular task or the strength of specific muscle groups, as well as strength and stamina in general.
• Heavy work. Individually exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in Annual Review Process
• Ensure that all Habitat for Humanity International and Affiliate Policies and Guidelines are followed.
• Assist in Donation pick -up as needed
• For Safety, efficiency, and to serve our customers, donors and volunteers, this job requires basic reading, writing, conversation and understanding English.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Provides customer assistance at all times.
• Load and unload merchandise - donations, Deconstruction, business and customers.
• Heavy work. Individually exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Maintain office/donor relationships electronically through Vonigo scheduling platform, email and phone.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, both company, OSHA and TDOT
• Regular and reliable attendance required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of high school (diploma or equivalent) preferred.
• Equivalent education or experience in job related activities.
• Very customer oriented.
• Must have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record for insurance purposes.
• Friendly and helpful demeanor.
• Positive attitude at all times.

TIME REQUIREMENTS

Time requirement:

This is a part-time position (8 hours) Saturday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Satisfactory attendance is required.
