Job summary

University Health KC is seeking a Restorative Therapy Technician for UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This full-time role supports therapists in delivering restorative programs to residents, focusing on mobility, self-care, positioning, and daily activities.

You will document services, monitor resident progress, and communicate changes to therapy and nursing staff while maintaining a clean, safe environment and promoting quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of medical-related experience in a long-term care or hospital setting as a rehabilitation technician, CNA, or similar role.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to use sound judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide restorative therapy programs under the direction of licensed therapists.
• Assist residents with mobility, ADLs, feeding, positioning, ROM, and other restorative activities.
• Support residents in maintaining independence and functional abilities.
• Monitor programs and communicate concerns to therapy or nursing staff.
• Report changes or declines in resident function promptly.
• Document resident encounters and services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Promote resident safety, quality care, and a positive experience.
