Job summary

University Health KC is seeking an Occupational Therapist at UH Lakewood Occupational Therapy. The position is at UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, with a Mon-Fri, 8a-4:30p schedule and 40 hours per week.

You will evaluate patients, develop customized treatment plans, and guide hands-on therapy across all ages, from toddlers to seniors, while collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes. Mentoring OT assistants and students is included.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Missouri OT license.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate therapy techniques.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine individualized treatment plans.
• Create customized treatment plans and guide hands-on therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and rehab staff to achieve outcomes.
• Mentor OT assistants and students.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to keep skills current.
