Job summary

Powerback is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support restorative nursing services across patient care areas. You will work under the Rehab Department and alongside licensed nurses to help patients regain and maintain functional abilities.

Responsibilities include implementing restorative plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with equipment and safety training. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures.
• A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
• Attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the center to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, directs and participates in restorative programs initiated for individual patients.
• Provides safe restorative care.
• Communicates with the Nursing and Rehabilitation departments concerning goal setting and approaches to individual patient needs.
• Attends care plan conferences and provides input into development of individualized Restorative plan of care.
• Maintains proficiency in using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales and other equipment.
• Promotes a culture of safety and patient/family satisfaction.
• Puts Patient Service first and ensures high quality of service in a compassionate atmosphere.
