Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in the United States is seeking a Full Time Restorative Aide to support the Rehab Department, delivering restorative nursing care under supervision. This role involves 32-40 hours per week across 6 days, focusing on maximizing residents' functional potential and safety.

You will work with licensed staff, participate in care plans, assist with splints and assistive devices, and help maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' experience as a CNA and knowledge of restorative nursing.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Attend at least 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in restorative programs for individual patients.
• Provide safe restorative care.
• Communicate with Nursing and Rehab about goals and approaches.
• Attend care plan conferences and contribute to Restorative plan of care.
• Maintain accurate restorative progress documentation.
• Assist with staff orientation and ongoing education on restorative nursing.
• Instruct staff on splints, braces, and self-help devices.
• Promote safety in the clinical and living environment.
• Perform related duties to support Rehabilitation Department.
