Powerback in Maryland is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support restorative nursing under the Rehab Department. You will assist with patient care, documentation, and safety, delivering compassionate service in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' experience as a CNA and knowledge of restorative nursing.
• English language proficiency (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in restorative programs for individual patients.
• Provide safe restorative care.
• Communicate goals and approaches to patient needs with Nursing/Rehab.
• Attend care plan conferences and contribute to plans of care.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings as requested.
• Maintain accurate restorative progress documentation.
• Assist with staff orientation and ongoing education on restorative nursing.
• Instruct staff on splints, braces, and assistive devices.
• Notify team of changes in patient function.
• Provide feedback to improve resident functioning.
• Operate and train others on wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales.
• Promote a culture of safety.
• Prioritize patient service and compassionate care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Other duties supporting Rehab Department and Restorative Program.
• Adhere to company values and policies.
