Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a skilled nursing professional to lead our Restorative Program and team, delivering best-in-class care to veterans and guiding rehabilitation services.

In this role you will monitor services, coordinate with facility staff and families, document in the Veterans’ electronic medical record, and participate in care planning. This position offers meaningful work within the Missouri Veterans Commission and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri nursing license in good standing (LPN with 2+ years, RN, or RN with 2+ years).
• Experience in restorative care and supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate rehabilitation services oversight and hands-on restorative services.
• Monitor for appropriate provision of services, screenings, and evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the Veteran’s electronic medical record.
• Participate in the Veteran care planning process.
• Monitor and coordinate ordering of equipment within budget.
• Lift and move Veterans.
• Oversee supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, clinical instruction, and feedback to the team members.

Qualifications

• Current licensure from Missouri Board of Nursing, in good standing, as one of the following:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse with 2+ years of experience
  • Registered Nurse
  • Registered Nurse with 2+ years of experience
