Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• Experience with long-term care or veterans care preferred.
• Ability to document and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift.
• Implement Veteran MDS and care plan according to healthcare protocol.
• Make rounds with the physician, inform status and follow instructions.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in EMR.
• Give medications and treatments as prescribed with follow-up observations.
• Assist Veterans with transfers, positioning, feeding, elimination, bathing, etc.
• Assist Veteran upon admission and/or discharge.

Pay

• Day shift: $38.92 - $41.80/hour
• Evening and night shift: $42.42 - $45.56/hour
• Pay commensurate with experience

Examples Of Work

• Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift on assigned unit
• Implement Veteran MDS and care plan according to healthcare protocol
• Make rounds with the physician, inform of status of patients and receive instructions for care and treatment
• Transcribe and implement physician’s orders accurately
• Document accurately all nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in electronic medical record (EMR)
• Give medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician accurately with follow-up observations
• Assist Veteran with various needs such as transferring, positioning, transporting, feeding, promoting elimination, toileting, bathing and showering, etc.
• Assist Veteran upon admission and/or discharge

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse – in good standing; or
• A recent graduate of an accredited nursing program may practice as a graduate nurse until results of first licensure examination are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first, as allowed by the Missouri Board of Nursing
