Job summary

New York Edge seeks a highly organized Restorative Practices Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time role promotes restorative interventions to support students’ social, emotional, and academic success, with collaboration across students, families, teachers, and staff.

The coordinator will lead circles, facilitate training, and help create a positive school climate by fostering trust and well-being for all members of the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and urban youth experience preferred.
• Familiarity with restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.
• Experience delivering or facilitating group sessions with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates restorative circles and group discussions to support social and emotional health.
• Participates in professional development around restorative practices and crisis management.
• Collaborates with school teams to implement restorative interventions and track outcomes.
• Supports students with social, emotional or behavioral challenges and builds positive relationships.
• Leads staff and parent coaching on restorative practices and promotes campus wellbeing.
• Maintains records, reports and presentations; supports event planning as needed.
