Job summary

Plumas District Hospital is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant to support residents needing restorative care at the 1065 Bucks Lake Road location in Quincy, CA. The role includes direct restorative activities, delegated therapies, and mobility support to help residents reach their highest possible functioning level.

The position is per diem and non-benefited, with 12-hour shifts and opportunities for shift differentials and holiday pay.

Qualifications

Job description

The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) works with residents needing restorative nursing measures to gain or to maintain their highest, possible, practical functioning level. Provides direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation For Non-Benefited, Per Diem Pay Scale

• Base Rate $29.35-$41.84 per hour (or $61,042.80-$87,032.44 annually)
• Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
• Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay
• Per Diem, non-benefited
• 12 hour shifts

Education

• Current California license as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Current CPR certification
• Must obtain RNA certification within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Assists residents in progressive mobility as ordered by physician which may include providing PROM and active ROM, special positioning techniques, bed mobility, ambulating, cones, splints, contracture care, assistive feeding devices / adaptive equipment, ADL specifics and training, bowel and bladder management, restorative dining, and bladder retraining, safety device application and release, and appropriate padding and wheelchair cushions.
• Administer Restorative Dining Program.
• Perform transfers, bed mobility, positioning and range of motion (passive/active).
• Perform general strengthening exercises.
• Ensure the placement of restorative devices/equipment (e.g., splints, positioning devices).
