Job summary

Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, CA is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to deliver restorative care and delegated therapy to residents, helping them reach their highest functional level. You will perform gait belt transfers, ROM exercises, restorative dining, and mobility activities, document progress, and collaborate with a nursing team.

California CNA license and CPR are required; RNA certification within 6 months is expected.

Job description

The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) works with residents needing restorative nursing measures to gain or to maintain their highest, possible, practical functioning level. Provides direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation For Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale
  • Base Rate $24.63-$35.12 per hour (or $51,230.40-$73,042.30 annually)
  • Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay
  • Hiring Incentive $1,500.00
  • Structure for incentive pay
    • 25% of total incentive paid as a hiring incentive on the first pay check (within three weeks of first day of employment)
    • 25% of total incentive paid as a retention bonus due seven months after the first day of employment
    • 50% of total incentive paid as a retention bonus due one year after the first day of employment
Compensation For Non-Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale
  • Base Rate $29.35-$41.84 per hour (or $61,042.80-$87,032.44 annually)
  • Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.

Education
  • Current California license as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must obtain RNA certification within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to function independently with indirect supervision.
  • Training in gait belt use, safe transfers, and body mechanics

  • Administer restorative activities specific to resident needs
  • Assists residents in progressive mobility as ordered by physician which may include providing PROM and active ROM, special positioning techniques, bed mobility, ambulating, cones, splints, contracture care, assistive feeding devices / adaptive equipment, ADL specifics and training, bowel and bladder management, restorative dining, and bladder retraining, safety device application and release, and appropriate padding and wheelchair cushions.
  • Administer Restorative Dining Program.
  • Perform transfers, bed mobility, positioning and range of motion (passive/active).
  • Perform general strengthening exercises.
  • Ensure the placement of restorative devices/equipment (e.g., splints, positioning devices).
