Job summary

Eastland Sub Acute & Rehabilitation in Montebello, CA is seeking an RNA to join our Therapy Department under Charge Nurse supervision. The RNA performs restorative nursing to help residents reach mobility goals, supports CNA staff, and maintains safe, dignified care.

Requirements include GED, CNA program, one year CNA SNF experience, RNA certificate, COVID-19 vaccination, and First Aid/CPR. The role emphasizes documentation, ROM exercises, and daily progress notes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and the completion of a CNA program.
• One year of experience as a CNA in a SNF facility and a current RNA certificate.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster shots
• Current First Aid and CPR Card

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with ROM exercises and other strengthening to improve mobility.
• Documents activities of daily living per facility policy.
• Monitors placement of restorative devices/equipment.
• Assists with turning and positioning heavy residents.
• Provides daily and weekly documentation and progress summaries.
• Reports changes in resident condition or motivation levels.
• Gives pre/post-treatment pain assessment.
• Provides restorative nursing care per plan under supervision.
• Documents daily living activities and contributes to QA audits.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, eating, and walking as per plan.
• Coaches CNAs in positioning, ROM, ADL, and safety device use.
• Uses proper techniques and safety precautions.
• Encourages self-care and restorative measures.
• Maintains proper body alignment and positioning.
• Transports residents using wheelchairs or walkers and supports movement.
• Other duties as assigned.
