Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC in Birmingham, AL seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide comprehensive resident care within our restorative nursing program. You will document daily progress, assist with ROM, transfers, ADLs, and coordinate with the nursing team to support safe, dignified living for residents.

Applicants should hold a state Nursing Assistant Certification, have strong communication, and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

Nursing Assistant Certification from the state, where required.
Good communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language.
Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
A strong belief in the Restorative Nursing Philosophy.

Responsibilities

Performs programs on all identified residents, including ROM and strengthening exercises.
Assists with ambulation, transfers, ADLs and restorative activities.
Documents daily on treatment grids and weekly progress notes.
Notifies appropriate staff of problems or need for reassessment.
Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant changes in resident condition.
Reinforces team management of B/B programs and collaborates with CNAs.
